Overview
PropertyJ arrived with a site built on an AI site builder. The look was right; the build underneath wasn't. So we recreated it faithfully first — pixel for pixel, from a screen recording — then rebuilt it properly on a modern stack. Same brand, same calm, two previews side by side so the decision was made on evidence, not promises. The rebuild is now live, and it's growing an owner admin: property listings, photo management and publishing with no developer in the loop.

Faithful recreation first
Before changing anything, we rebuilt the client's existing site exactly as it was. Layout, type, spacing, copy — reconstructed frame by frame. Trust starts with proving you've actually looked.

Proper engineering under the same skin
The rebuild keeps the look and replaces the foundations: static-first pages, one small contact endpoint, no heavy dependencies. The kind of build one person can own for years.

A strict monochrome brand system
Ink and paper only — no colour accent anywhere. A high-contrast editorial serif for headlines, a mono face for labels, and the discipline to leave it alone.

Motion with restraint
Scroll reveals, a quiet page-load sequence, hover states with intent. Every effect honours reduced-motion settings and none of it costs performance.

Side-by-side previews
Both versions deployed as live previews. The client compares the original and the rebuild on their own phone — no slide deck, no imagination required.

Fast where it counts
Static pages, optimised fonts, no script bloat. The site scores where a property practice's first impression should.

An owner's listings manager
The newest chapter: a private admin where the owner adds a property, uploads the photos and publishes to a public listings page — in final testing now. The site stops being a brochure and starts being a tool.
